The 10-hour training consists of two mandatory modules approved by the NYC DOB:  8-Hour Fall Prevention: Covers hazard identification, scaffolding, ladders, edges, openings, and personal fall arrest systems. 2-Hour Mental Health Awareness / Drug & Alcohol Awareness: Covers substance use recognition, workplace impairment risks, suicide prevention, and resources like the 988 Lifeline. Prerequisite: A valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction card (under 5 years old). Format: In-person Outcome: Upon finishing the course and passing evaluations, workers get a certificate to apply for their official NYC SST Worker Card, which is legally required on major New York City demolition and construction sites
