The curriculum covers 14 primary modules focusing heavily on New York City construction rules, public protection, and high-risk site management:
- NYC Construction Codes & Regulations: In-depth review of NYC Building/Administrative Codes, Chapter 33 (Safeguards During Construction or Demolition), and Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York (RCNY §48-03).
- OSHA Standards: Application of OSHA 1926 construction safety standards.
- Agency Requirements: Compliance standards across NYC agencies, including the FDNY, DEP, DOT, and NYC Parks Department.
- Site Safety Management & Plans: Creating, implementing, and maintaining Site Safety Plans (SSPs), managing high-risk job sites, and coordinating daily safety operations.
- Incident & Accident Prevention: Protocols for job site hazard identification, equipment safety, accident investigations, and emergency response.
- DOB Systems: Navigating BIS and DOB NOW portals for filings and notifications.
