The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was created to establish and enforce safety standards for American workers. Employers must provide training to enable workers to protect themselves from workplace hazards, including changes in tasks or equipment. This training covers hazard recognition, avoidance, control, and prevention based on 29 CFR 1926, with a strong emphasis on OSHA’s “Focus Four” hazards (falls, struck-by, caught-in/between, and electrocution), alongside fall protection, scaffolding, excavation safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
