This course is a requirement for those workers using suspended scaffolds in NYC under 2022 NYC Building Code section 3314.4.5.4.

This two-day 8 training will cover the following: Introduction to Suspended Scaffolds; Suspended Scaffold incidents; OSHA 1926 Overview, Subpart E, L, M, X; NYC Construction Codes Overview, NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Overview, General Principals of Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment & Fall Arrest Systems; Suspended Scaffold  use; Hoist, Platform and Rigging equipment practices; Maximum intended loads & capacity reducing factors; Rope, Knot & hitch configurations and connections; wire rope and termination techniques; basic rope, hoist, block & tackle; and rigging set-ups & procedures; lifelines, rope & cable grabs; electric motors, controls and cables; suspended scaffold inspections; equipment rigging and hardware; rejection criteria for equipment and rigging hardware;safety checklists; emergency situations and preparedness procedures.

Completion requirements: Must be physically present 100% of the course duration and pass Multiple choice assessment with 75% more and pass Hands-On performance assessment.
